Uses more objective findings than previous diabetic wound classification sytems such as the SINBAD and Wagner systems.
Diabetic foot ulcer management can be complex and should employ a multidisciplinary approach for long-term management, including primary care, endocrinology, wound care specialists, podiatry, etc. as necessary.
