• This is a screening tool only and should not be used to formally diagnose patients with dementia. 
• If score is below 7, additional workup should be performed.

This score is well studied in a variety of clinical settings. It has been translated in a variety of languages. It can be performed quickly and used to determine if further investigation is warranted.
